About

The StudyPlace mission is to develop a global pedagogical commons, a repository of knowledge and thought, free and open to all, in which we assemble and advance the study of education.

StudyPlace is motivated by weight loss pills the belief that "education" presents a rich field of study, beyond the applied research of teaching methods, school design, classroom organization, and the like. Looking to our history, we want to uncover how proposal software

concepts of education have developed, and how education interacts with society. Looking to our future, we hope to bring the benefits of peer production to the study of education, using  the Internet to gather diverse experiences and  insight.

Background

StudyPlace was conceived of by Robbie McClintock, the John L. and Sue Ann Weinberg Professor in the Historical and bankers life and casualty Philosophical Foundations of Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. The current wiki was launched in June 2006 and is hosted by the Columbia Center for New Media Teaching and Learning.

StudyPlace is operated by a loose organization of editors. Its future lies in the hands of diet pills its community of users.
